Are you struggling to find just the right pet health insurance for your dog or cat? Do you find it confusing trying to compare the different offers out there? I can say it is like comparing apples and sometimes even houses. . . not.
Type statement ambiguous, is not it?
The biggest problem I had when trying to compare different health insurance companies has been the company identity "rather than the differences. However, there were several areas that I had to become familiar with the attempt to find the best policy for my dog.
Accident / category: accident would be, for example, an attack with a kidney infection. Category, for example, would be nothing to do with the urinary tract or kidney. So a policy health insurance company that has a "per accident" limit Wold conceivably pay the policy limit on your cat kidney infection. However, the same policy that leads to an accident, could also lead to a "limit for each category." What this means that if you reach the limit of the category with a kidney infection, then there will not be won – for the life of a cat.
Throughout my research, I found only one company health insurance companies that had neither a per incident or a limit to class!
Another option I had problems with was the various "wellness plans" available with the insurance policies on animal health. Typically, a wellness plan include coverage for annual visits for education and training, vaccinations, deworming and Sterilization and castration. My three favorite went as follows:
Plan 1: The plan has a wellness plan for $ 150/year (non-deductible) and includes spaying / sterilization, vaccinations, annual physical, heartworm testing and cleaning of the teeth.
Floor 2: The welfare plan has a limit of $ 480 per year (no deductible) with all the limits on everything listed in the Plan 1 plus the following: blood tests, fecal tests, urinalysis and prevention andtick flea.
Plan 3: The welfare plan has an annual limit of $ 200 and allows the owner to choose to disburse these funds in any combination of them and their education and training appropriate. The categories are those admitted is Plan 2, and the possibility of using an exception for orthopedic consultations and wellness microchip.
As you can see, while all the pet health insurance plans cover the same "ground" the methods they use are all different. These differences are what contribute to the cost of the policy to the insurance company, and the confusion among many potential customers. It 'the same as with the assurance of human health!
